I’m working on several projects at the same time this month. Making new paperclay pieces for the local gallery, starting a new commission (a pet portrait) and a custom Baseboard Mouse! Meanwhile, my daughter stays busy growing dahlias. The photo above is of one of my favorites. I love the two colors. And the fabulous shape of the petals.

Music is my other passion. When I’m not making art, I’m usually practicing my guitar. Our cat took advantage of the open case! She likes that soft lining.

Early morning walks here in the mountains are often foggy and damp. And now, in mid-August, the birds are already heading south. Walks are much more quiet than in early summer when birdsong begins before dawn. A lovely "welcome to Latchet" packet arrived in the mail yesterday. A very nice surprise!! I'm looking forward to our future together. And now... it's time to get back to the studio and create art!
